V4 Mono Amplifier

Powerful, musical, and effortless - this is the sound of the V4. As with all Quicksilver's
amplifiers, the V4s are all tube and hand wired point-to-point. A bias meter is mounted in the
chassis and individual controls allow each output tube to be biased separately. The amplifiers
come with KT88s, but EL34s, 6550s, or 6L6s can also be used.
Matched quads will work best but are not necessary. The low screen voltage on the output
tubes (300 volts) makes them last for thousands of hours of "on" time. The output stage has
a separate power supply so that even maximum power levels will not diminish the sound
quality. For best sound, Quicksilver speaker wire is highly recommended.

Mid Mono Amplifier

Quicksilver's new Mid Mono amplifier is a big brother to the Mini Mite. Like the Mini Mite, it is
completely hand-wired and can use many different output tubes; but the Mid Mono has twice
the power output, a shiny chrome chassis and five-way gold-plated binding posts. Setting the
bias is very simple: one screwdriver control and an LED indicator. Power is 50 watts with the
standard EL34s; 55 with KT88s; and 60 with KT90s.

Mini-Mite Mono Amp

The Mini-Mite exemplifies Quicksilver's design philosophy - simplicity and affordability. Matched
pairs of EL34, KT90, KT88, KT77, KT66, 6550 or 6L6 output tubes can be used with no
adjustments, and the output tubes are self-biasing. The power supply has over 100 joules of
storage and the power cord now has an IEC connector. The Mini-Mites provide the famous
Quicksilver midrange in a lower power package. 25 watts into 4 or 8 ohms.

Horn Mono Amp

The Horn Mono Amplifier is designed specifically for use with very efficient loudspeakers. It has
extremely low noise and distortion and approximately 18 db less gain than Quicksilver's
standard amplifiers. This avoids the noise and gain problems that normally appear when
using horn speakers. The amplifier is designed to sound good at the extremely low levels
(milliwatts) that horn loudspeakers require. Many amplifiers actually have higher distortion at
these low levels.
As with all Quicksilver amplifiers many different output tubes may be plugged in directly with no
adjustments: matched pairs of EL34, KT90, KT88, KT77, KT66, 6550 or 6L6 output tubes. The

Silver Speaker Wire
Quicksilver pure silver speaker wire optimizes the amplifier speaker interface without the harshness of plated types or the bandwidth limitations of pure copper. Hand built in a
geometry that maximizes bandwidth, this wire is the most transparent way to connect a
Quicksilver amplifier to any speaker. The 15 gauge size optimizes low to high frequency
balance while yielding excellent bass performance. The spade lugs fit snugly into the
Quicksilver five-way binding posts or screw strips and add a minimum amount of mass to the connection.

Line Stage Preamp

The Quicksilver Line Stage Preamp embodies the Quicksilver philosophy of simplicity. It uses
only one 12AX7 per channel, resulting in a very direct sound. A precision Alps attenuator, with
41 detents, is used for the volume control. The gold-plated Teflon insert RCA jacks are chassis
mounted for long life. Gain is 18 db. Minimum load is 20K ohms.

Remote Control Line Stage Preamp

The new Quicksilver Line Stage Preamp with remote control volume now has a much lower
output impedance, allowing it to drive almost any amplifier. It uses only one 6DJ8 per channel,
resulting in the clear direct sound for which Quicksilver is known. Included are fourteen gold
-plated Teflon insert RCA connectors and an IEC power cable connector. Video pass-through is
available upon request. A precision motorized Alps attenuator is used for the volume control.

Phono Stage Preamp
Quicksilver believes that simplicity is the best approach. The all-tube Phono Preamp uses only two triode tube sections per channel. Gain is 44db at 1 KHz; 67 db when used with the
Quicksilver Moving Coil Step-up Transformer.

Moving Coil Transformer

The Quicksilver MC transformer is the ideal way to extract maximum performance from moving
coil cartridges. It was designed to match the RIAA curve specifically for use as a step-up device.
It provides 23 db of gain for any phono cartridge with an output impedance between 1 and 40
ohms and has far less noise than an active head amp.

Interconnects
The new Quicksilver interconnect is designed specifically for tube preamps. The pure silver wire optimizes signal transmission and allows maximum resolution and bandwidth. The low
capacitance configuration makes long runs easy to drive. Sold in one meter lengths or one meter multiples.

SET Mono Amplifier
The Quicksilver entry into single-ended amplifier design uses no global feedback and yet offers lower distortion, wider frequency response and higher damping than standard single-ended
designs. The parts list includes polypropylene and foil capacitors, non-inductive wire wound
resistors, nickel-core chokes and Quicksilver-designed power and output transformers. As with
all Quicksilver amplifiers, many different output tubes may be used. The power bandwidth
extends to 20 Hz and the 9 watts output has less than 1 db of compression. Each output
transformer is individually tested and categorized so that each pair of amps will have closely
matched output characteristics. The amplifiers are finished in carbide black with nickel chrome
