The Concept v2 MM cartridge is the second generation moving magnet version providing increased clarity and dynamics. Clearaudio’s first patents and products in the 1970s were MC cartridges. They applied their expertise in phono transducer design to create a line of MM cartridges to complement their turntables and tonearms

Developed for the Concept turntable, it uses many of the advancements found in the v2 Ebony generator. The Concept v2 MM is a high-output moving magnet cartridge featuring an aluminum body and cantilever with an elliptical stylus. Due to the unique “frictionless magnetic bearing” design of the Concept tonearm, it is available factory pre-installed on the Concept turntable at a special package price.

The Clearaudio Concept v2 MM cartridge is also available separately for use on other brand turntables so you may experience and enjoy the Clearaudio sound.

To compliment their Concept turntable, Clearaudio has introduced two affordable, high-performance cartridges, the Concept MM (Moving Magnet) and Concept MC (Moving Coil). Due to the unique "frictionless magnetic bearing" design of Concept's Verify tonearm, either cartridge is available factory pre-installed on the Concept turntable at a special package price. Both Clearaudio Concept MM and MC cartridges are also available separately for use on Clearaudio or other brand turntables.

The Concept v2 MM features an aluminum body and is a high output moving magnet cartridge based on Clearaudio's popular Aurum Wood Classic mkII. Its sound is both musical and inviting, with classic moving magnet warmth and body.
